The Reverend Kevin Yell
Supply Priest

Father Kevin Yell was a novice with the Institute of Charity (Rosminians) and worked with the Roman Catholic Church in various capacities both in his native England and his adopted America, including as a seminary and summer school lecturer, liturgical workshop leader, catechist trainer, parochial assistant, retreat master and preacher for over 20 years before being ordained to the priesthood with The American Catholic Church in March of 2000.

His MA degree from the Graduate Theological Union, Berkeley, is in Spirituality and the Arts, and this reflects a lifelong interest in the role of creativity in our spiritual development and maturity.  He wrote a monthly article for "Ministry & Liturgy" magazine, and was the co-founder of the "Liturgical Arts Adventure", a creative retreat and workshop program promoted through Resource Publications Inc, for whom he also wrote "Acts of Salvation," play scripts for the Lent and Advent seasons.   His other plays include "Gate 13" and a musical, with composer Peter Alexander, "Can't Say I Do."

Apart from five years as a Parish Associate and another five as a hospice chaplain, Kevin has always had a interest in the ecumenical movement and the spiritual care of people who found themselves outside the mainstream of denominational churches.
